My 3 month trial period with norton is about to expire (tonight), I have a new Norton ready to be installed. I was wondering if i should remove the trial Norton completely or just insert the disc and it will go over the old version, Its Windows Vista home if that makesany difference.

I have not done this but normally I would uninstall before installing another security package and with Norton use the removal tool but the new Norton should overwrite the old - Norton replacing Norton shouldn't be a problem. Make a system restore point before you start so that you can go back if there are snags.

I thought it was best i uninstalled the free 90 day version then i installed the new one i got from pc world (last week bank holiday sale £25 instead of £50) So on reflection it probably is best uninstalling then reinstalling. Thanks anyway to who answered i havent had any probs doing this. Fingers crossed

'Fingers crossed'.
Glad it worked but seems a bit iffy if paying for security.
Like walking on thin ice then?
