security conflict

I have a packardbell easynote laptop. It has Norton security which I cant remove there is Windows security as well. I wanted to run PCGuard as I am on Virgen broadband but when I do whichever firewall I switch off I keep getting warnings from it. If I switch them both on I get conflict messages and Norton cuts in between to tell me that it is out of date. Can anyone advise please

You have to trawl the Symantic site for the removal tool, or try CCleaner to delete Nortons.

PC Guard or Bullguard is its other name, this not the best or safest protection even if Virgin do support it , compared to Norton which is much superior, though a bit of a resource hog.
if you are convinced that you want to remove Norton go to this web site
and download the removal tool for the version/year you have installed.
running two Firewall Products
or Two Antivirus Products
leads to what is known as a form of false Positive results as each product finds the other product activity and thinks it is a virus or other infection.
