Security Check

  Gorillaz 08:07 17 Aug 05

I using just carried out a security check using the Symantec and sygatetech sites. The Symantec scan reported no problems but the sygatetech scan showed that port 20 was vulnerable to attack. I have checked norton firwall port settings and port 20 is not shown as being a blocked port. What does port 20 do and is it a problem to leave open?

A quick Google came up with click here

Scroll down to the second paragraph 'The Basics'.

Hope it helps (although it left me somewhat bemused!). ;-)

I think live update uses port 20 so symantec wouldn't see it as a problem
