Hello all.

Although theyare being blocked and i dont need to worry im just curious as to what the hells going on?

Last Thursday i was online for an hour and i had over 300 "attempted attacks" on a port that is typically used by a Trojan but cannot remember its name.

Today im now being constantly alerted to:

NIS has detected and blocked an intrusion attempt.

Time: 09:08

Date: 20/10/2005

Intrusion: HTTP Apache Redundant Slashes DoS

Intruder: 0.0.0.0 (4419)

Risk Level: Medium

Protocol: TCP

Attacked IP: awrz.net (84.53.152.152)

Attacked Port: http(80)

what the hell is going on all of a sudden? Dont hear a peep out of NIS05 for ages and no its constantly flowing.

For not knowing much about computers could some1 take a moment to explain what happening and why all of a sudden its happening?

Basically you have nothing to worry about because the NIS 05 Firewall has detected and stopped a possible Trojan intrusion. The fact that it has happened a lot is because you are being targeted by a Hacker. Do these messages from NIS occur only if you are visititing a particular internet site?
