Security Alert Pop-Up

I have been receiving a security threat regularly just recently, stating;

"A remote system is attempting to access your computer"

Details:
Time;
Date;
Protocol; UDP (Inbound)
Remote Address; 131.231.234.60:68
Local Address; 255.255.255.255:67

This is very similar to my IP address on my Uni network; 131.231.234.124, so I assume it is something on the network trying to access my computer.

I have blocked this more than 50 times now, and it still persists.

Any ideas?

Nick

There could be any number of reasons why a machine is trying to access you on a network, I have to access machines on the networks I work with to update them or run tests.

Do you receive updates from the Uni server?

No not at all. The only kind of access the uni servers try are port scans (which are blocked by Norton)

Sorry I forgot to say I am running Norton IS 2004 Pro. These alerts only appeared after I had tried to use the Norton Web Help facility. Maybe Symantec are trying to gain remote access to my computer?

Regards
Nick
