I'm running windows 98 and i'm with AOL dial up. My problem is that when i go to a page that i want to buy from and try to checkout all i get is the popup message telling me i'm 'about to view pages over a secure conection' and then nothing happens.

I've tried it on loads of sites and non of them work,is it something simple ?(and don't say me!)

Thanks for any help.

I suspect this is to do with Internet Explorer. Try going Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs...scroll down the list and highlight Microsoft Internet Explorer and click Remove you will be presented with 3 options...choose Repair.

If there is no repair option choose Cancel and post back.

Ok ,i've tried this and it still does'nt work, all i get is the padlock in the right hand of the taskbar but no details page.

Is there anything else i can try?

Go to the Control Panel then Internet Options choose Advancer then scroll down the list and make sure

ssl 2

ssl 3

are ticked.

Are you using a firewall?
