secure network

Hello.I have just installed a netgear router and adaptor using blueyonder ISP.

Everything works correctly,my only concern is how secure is the wireless connection.

When I use the installed adaptor software and open the Networks option, the router is detecting 4 other networks.

If I can detect other networks can others detect mine?.

Will mine be availble for others to access, how can I make sure my network is not detected/listed and used by others.

I am using WPA.PSK security.I have reset the default Netgear passwords.

Please any help appreciated.

Thank you in advance.Regards,IQS

<<< I am using WPA.PSK security >>>

In that case, your network is secure. Others whose network adapters are in range will be able to see your network but, without the WPA passphrase, will be unable to connect to it.
