Second internet connection problem

A friend of mine has asked me to set his laptop so he can use it from work as well as from home. The laptop has Windows XP on it and I use Win98. He has Anytime on it from Tesco.net and I realise that he can only use this from home so I thought all I would have to do was set up another internet connection on his laptop which would dial the pay as you go number as he wouldn't be using it from work very much anyway.
The question is how do I do this? I've done it with Freeserve on Win98 with no problems but XP seems to be slightly different. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
