second hand motherboard?

I have been given as a present, a superior (secondhand) compared with mine, mother board, complete with processor, and hard drive,
will it be legal to use it?

If from someone upgrading there system - shoudl be no reason why not. However the same may not apply to any software on HD.

I can't see any diffrenence between giving an motherboiard and HD away than giving a system box away, after all is is recycling

If the person that gave it to you is not going to re-use that copy of windows then no problem with using it (if it is an OEM copy then they won't be able to use it anyway with that much being changed as said before with that much it is like a system without the case.

If you mean to fit your Hard Drive in as It is, it most likely will not boot to windows. As the Drivers and Configuration are for the Old Hardware
