Search Wizard Starts Automatically

Whilst I'm working away on the computer (doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing) the Search Wizard just pops up continuously, even if I'm not pressing any keys.

What could be causing this, and how can I stop it?

what is it looking for?

Nothing - it just pops up.

it must have a reason.

I know - I'm trying to figure it out.

Also, I noticed that the Scroll Lock light came on, on the keyboard, by itself.

Now that I've just moved the computer case, and jiggled the wires behind it, the Search Wizard seems to have stoppped coming up; at least for now.

Nope - it's back again...

Like I said, it just comes up but not searching for anything in partcular, but just waiting for you to enter words into the Search bar.

try running it through and see if it stops then

I unticked a few things under msconfig/Startup and that seems to have cured it for now. Hope the damn nuisance thing doesn't come up again.
