I have suddenly found a New Folder on my Desktop, it has a magnifying glass on it. When I right click on it, it has three options: Open, Explore and Create Shortcut. Clicking Open does not do anything, clicking Explore it opens with all the items on my desktop inside it.
I deleted one of the items in this folder (a small game which I do not use) and it went into the bin.
What shall I do with this Folder

Just make sure (enabling 'Show system files')that it really is empty and then delete the folder too.

I have enabled 'show system files' and all my desktop files are in the folder.
In the left hand pane I have got all the drives 'My Computer, Recycle Bin etc'.
It looks the folder when you click on 'Start, Programs Accessories, Windows Explorer, if you see what I mean.

I think I see what you mean.
If they are normally hidden it is an indication that they are system files which must NOT be deleted.

A good job you checked first!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
