Hi i have a DELL Dimension 4600 & it has the following model number mother board: 0F4491.
My BIO's tell me that i have 4 slots with 256Mb SDRAM in each of them.
I am not 100% sure on what the difference between SDRAM & DIMM ram but does my mother board accept both types?
I know that i cant put both types in together, but just wanted to know before i purchased any more ram.
Thanks in advance.

If your buying ram use the crucial guide to tell you what is suitable for your motherboard click here

Your mobo will accept either SDRRAM or DDRRAM (Single or Double Data Rate). DIMM is the type of RAM, click here and not really relevant to your query. Follow Fruit Bat's advice and you won't go wrong.
