Hi Folks,

I hope someone out there is able to help me with a situation I have with a new 4 gb SDHC card. I am intending to use this card in my TomTom sat nav in order to upgrade maps etc, and they all require more storage space. However, even following thier advise, it fails to recognise it, and when I try formatting it in my card reader, it causes a blue death screen and closes the computer down. Not funny at all.

Is it likely to be corrupted from new out of the packet?

Or am I doing something really daft?

Please help?

Many thanks in advance.

Size of card may be too much for TomTom no matter what they say. I have had problems in this aria with PC's Hardware does not always tell you what can be used as also make and exact type to use

SDHC
older equipment cannot see the newer High Capacity cards.
Your TT will be limited to the 2G cards.

Thanks guys,
That will be the answer then.......old kit, it is an early TT one 2nd edition, so unable to deal with the larger card.

But why the blue death screen when I try to format it in my card reader?
