Could someone kindly tell me if there's any reason(s) to use a SCSI connection rather than a USB for my HP 7400C scanner?

No, I think that SCSI a Relic of the past is hardware that as been left behind by other developments like USB2 Firewire etc and with hard drives Sata

All scanners are nowadays either Firewire or USB. I don't think you'll be able to buy a SCSI scanner nowadays. Furthermore, SCSI is a lot slower than USB or Firewire.

Note to Woodchip - SCSI is a relic of the past, for some, I am not one of those people.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried it using the USB and it's fine, so we'll call it 'sorted'.
