what is the best way of making and sending a screen shot, so am able to include it in a post to the forum.

Press your printscreen button and that will send a picutre of your desktop to your clipborad.
Go nito piant (or something simlar) and paste. Then save this image and upload it to somwhere like imageshack click here
Then post a link here to the picture on imageshack

Hold the Alt key down when pressing the Print Screen button and this will capture the active Window.
