screen size loss?

  Dorkins 10:14 27 Apr 07

I have only recently bought a new computer and added an old 17" monitor which displays and works really well. But for some reason the screen has shrunk by an ½" on either side? The svreen is an Fujitsu/Siemens Scaleo C792. Hope someone can help me out here. Thanks all

You need to sdjust the display on the monitor to expand it out to fill the screen.....should be some buttons on the front ?

The monitor might not be able to handle the combination of screen resolution and refresh rate. Try adjusting the height and width as suggested by TonyM, and if that doesn't get the results you want, experiment with the computer refresh rate settings. You may never be able to get the picture to totally fill the screen.

Normal 17in resolution is 1024x768 - use a refresh rate of 85MHz to eliminate the possibility of screen flicker.

As TonyM points out, you will/may need to adjust the display for height and width. The higher the resolution the smaller the display until suitably adjusted.
