Hello friends, how do I create screen dumps using my Windows OS rather than resorting to a third party utility? For example OSs like Windows XP and Vista. How do I use them for my screen dumps?

ctrl + PrtScr keys

or Alt + Prt Scr keys

will copy whole screen or just open window to the clipboard - then paste into a document for later use.

Prt Scr key takes a picture of the screen and saves it to the clipboard. Then you open Paint program and paste the contents of the clipboard into it. Then you can give it a name when you save it.

Holding down Alt key when you press Prt Scr key will take a picture of whichever program window is active (without the rest of the desktop and taskbar showing round the edges)

Vista and W7's Snipping Tool is good. Not available for XP though.
