my screen saver won't start automatically. I've never had any trouble before. All the screen savers work if I chose preview but will not come in after the time is set. I've done a clean start: still won't work. Can anyone help.

Is this one particular screen saver or all screen savers?

I'm running XP Home. It happens on all screen savers and each saver performs ok. They will not respond to auto timer. Also when useing the power setting for my monitor it won't swith off after 1hr.

Hmmm, I would have thought that it would be better to keep your nice noo keyboard and mouse, and instead, get rid of the screen saver - simply set screen saver to 'none'

If you have a modern screen, then a screen saver is not a necessity, as it was with the old type screens (the Green/Grey ones).

I have Viewsonic 19" LCD. If I do what you suggest I would still not be able time my monitor power off and as I keep my PC on most of the time my Monitor would not last long, I think.
