Screen Resolution Issue

I use a back office PC to input data into an EPOS (Electroniv Point of Sale) programme. I have been in touch with the programme suppliers and they state that the only way to get it to run at full screen is to have the PC resolution set to 800 x 600. Problem is that when I switch to other programmes i.e. Int Explorer, Excel etc they would appear better at higher resolution(s).

Is there a way to overcome this?

Unfortunately, it seems that your EPOS program has been written to use only an 800x600 resolution setting whereas most programs will resize automatically to the monitor's setting. In the case of flat screen monitors, it is important to use the correct native resolution and refresh rate; CRT monitors are more tolerant.

I suspect you either have to run everything in 800x600 or use a higher resolution with bands at the edge of the EPOS display.

You could try right clicking on the desktop icon for your prog. and on the shortcut tab use "Run Maximized"
