Hi having seen a recent thread regarding scanning ones own signature, I too want to do just this, only to place the signature into an Email or winfax. The problem I have is if I scan and save as a tiff file, this will be 500kb which is too large for Email use. Any suggestions?
Can you get an electronic signature using a note pad device?
Regarding fax I'm going to use Winfax, is MS fax better to use?

If you scan it in black and white at a resolution of around 150-200 dpi and scan it at a width of around 2" (or resize it in PSP etc) then it will be about 10kb when saved as a jpg

Much better for Black and White sigs, sharper, smaller, and also allows transparency. I get 9K as GIF, 11 K as medium quality JPG.

That keeps the file size down to 4 K
