Scanning my outgoing emails!

I have NOD32 running and Norton says it is disabled (which is good).

However when I send email with an attachment from Outlook 2003 I get a Symantic box on right bottom and it says it's scanning message 1 of 1.

HELP! How do I get rid of this. It takes ages and slows everything down.

Running XP with XP firewall and NOD32.

(have tried to post this twice already and post does not appear?)

I believe in Norton you go into the antivirus options and select email. Then untick scan outgoing mail.

You should really uninstall the Nav if you are not using it as two AV software WILL conflict with one another and if you have NOD32 installed that should be it, all the magazine articles I've read on this say that having two AVs on a computer is a definite no no.
So get rid of one or the other, preferably the NAV.
I have NOD32 with Z/A firewall which work very well together.

Thanks guys. Am now just running NOD32 and will replace XP firewall with Z/A today. May get Spywareblaster for some extra security.

I use NOD32 with Sygate Personal (free version) - they work together well too. I find Sygate much less cumbersome than ZA to work with, personally.
