scanning from email

thanks for the help in the past. Could anyone tell me if a document attachemnt be scanned from an email instead of using the printer first, or do I have to print first then scan and copy? thanks

Not quite sure what you are trying to achieve, by definition scanning requires a hard copy. Can you explain the problem a little more.

Scanning a hard copy after printing just puts a sofware verion i.e a doc file on your harddrive. allowing you to thn edit copy print the doc.

Just opening the document in your e-mail prog and save to where ever you want on harddrive does the same.
