Scanner Help

Hi , I bought a 2ndhand Compumax Flatbed scanner with no leads or instructions i don't know anything about the power supply round fitting any help .thanks , mjack

if it is an old parallel port scanner you will need a cable which will connect to the printer out port on the back of the pc and to the input port on the scanner. This type often has a second port for plugging in the printer cable. If it is this type they will be labelled pc and printer. Unfortunately this type of scanner is becoming obsolete as the new ones all have a usb connection.

Your best/only hope, is researching the web for a clue as to the type of scanner it is. Almost all at one time were made to one of 2 or 3 designs and marketed under different lables/names.

Once you have this critical information you can look for drivers, data cables and the correct low voltage power supply.......

Of course you might be lucky. Someone on this forum may recognise the model, and point you in the right direction.
