A friend of mine, who lives a fair way away, told me that he can scan a pictur to his PC using a Scanner but can then not do any editing. I find this strange as surely he needs to just use a photo editor and browse for the document he has scanned. However, does anyone know of a freeware/shareware utility that can play around with scanned images that is User Friendly.

You can usually find free image editors onthe discs that come with PC magazines. They are usually last years model but do a perfectly good job.You could probably find one on Google also.

Oh dear. Try again.

Tell him to enter Cnet in the search engine and then click on image editing. There are quite a few free onesthere.
