Scan Disk on start up. Please help

  -Beb- 10:07 13 Jun 04

Recently my computer has been running a scan disk on my D partition before windows starts to check for stability problems, and this happens every time i switch on my machine.

My pc specs are:
2x samsung 80gb sata drives (raid 0, 2 partitions, windows is on c:)
p4 3ghz
MSI 865pe
Tagan 480w PSU
Gainward FX5200 PCI (temporarily till i refit the heatsink on my 5950u)

Any suggestions what it could be?

I seem to remember that there is something in the BIOS about starting Scandisk at Start-up.
Could be wrong but worth checking!

if you have such a thing as Task scheduler, you can ask th computer when you want to run programs ; you can program it to run at YOUR commamd, or at start up or every day or.....( at least that is what I can do on THIS and am on Win 98 se)( unless them whot same is more computer literate than me knows otherwise??) .....

if the computer was not shut down properly then chkdsk normally runs when you next switch on.

have a look in start/control panel/administrative tools/event viewer and click the system and application tabs and look for any errors any links for more info.

have a read: click here click here click here may help a bit.
