Is this a Scam?

I have been informed by e-mail that I am a winner in the UK NATIONAL LOTTERY online Sweepstake International and have won a substantial amount of money which I can receive in Sterling or Dollars.I have a vague recollection I may have entered something like this to see what happened. However, being of a suspicious turn of mind I wonder!Bank details are not requested but name,D.O.B.,age,marital status etc are asked for.Being a firm believer in `If it seems too good to be true then it probably is` I would like to know the Forums views on this.

I have no idea if this is legit or just another one of those cons Mack1 but if there is no premium number to phone and they are not asking for bank details it might be worth looking into.. fingers crossed

It's a scam - there has been a lot of discussion about it.

If it's the one I think it is, just put the given telephone number in a Goooooogle search.

Standard rule: "If it looks to be too good to be true it probably is"

Scam for sure, check the "reply to" address, it's probably a yahoo email, for some reason the 419ers seem to like yahoo.

Or gooooogle the phone number to put your mind to rest.

Mack1, I`m surprised that you even need to ask.
