Another problem!! I have windows 98(se). Creative SoundBlaster 1024. In device manager, creative SB16 Emulation isnt loading, got a warning sign on it! In boot-up, says there isnt EMM386 driver. So do i need a SB16 Emulation driver, or the other one and how do i go about getting either? tried the Creative home page, but no luck there!

Emulation is only needed for old DOS games so you will not need if you only use win Games. I hd the same prob with a old comp and Creative live card

What I did to get it working is went to Device Manager and double click the SB16 Emulation that's got yellow mark and try changing Resources write the settings down first before you change them it will say what is free. it's trial and error for your comp no two comps alike

EMM386.EXE is a DOS Extended Memory Manager.

Click START>RUN and type SYSEDIT

Add the line (at the top):

DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE

to CONFIG.SYS

Save, and Bobs your auntie.
