saving updates

I know yhis is probally simple, but can someone please tell me how to save updates to a location on my pc (desktop etc) as when i go to windows update it doesn't seem to give me the choice, it just starts to download.

Try 'right click' then "save target as" over 'download' tab !

This link gives a list of updates and links to download them. You can save these and copy to CD.

If you wish to can go to the Windows Update site and personalise the settings

On the page click 'Personalize Windows Update' then select 'Select options for Windows Update'from the page that then opens. This gives you 'Windows Update Catalog' on the Windows Update page. When you click on this option you can select the updates that you want to download and save for future use.
