Saving Thunderbird emails

I have just bought one of those Pen Drive USB Memory devices. Nifty gadget and easy to use. All my files and sensitive data is now backed up on it.

My question is, how do I password protect the data which I really need to do? It is so easy to lose. Thanks.

I dont know when its on the drive already, you could have made a zipped copy of the data and password protected this, then added it to the pen drive, may have saved you some space too lol.
