Hi, Does anyone know how to save a still image from a running DVD movie in Windows Media player - or any other software which allows the playing of a DVD movie disk?

PowerDVD allows you to take a screen shot. the quality is quite good from what i recall.

link: click here

once installed, and playing a movie, you use the taskbar at the bottom of powerdvd and it has a camera icon. thats the one!

you need to right click on the movie and go to config, or options, and choose where the picture goes to, and in what format, etc.

I'm using Power DVD Vers 4 - there is an icon of a movie camera but that is for "Angle"

yeah, you might want to upgrade then! i think we're on version 5 or 6 now.

there is a free trial version, you could try that to see if it gives you what you want.

I'll download the trial version Tom - Thanks again!
