Saving pictures in Internet Explorer 6

If I want to save a picture from a Web Page onto my hard drive and right click on it, I only get the option to save as a .bmp file - even when the picture is a .jpg file. In the drop down box for "Save as Type" there is only the option to save as .bmp.
I have Paint Shop Pro installed with .jpg's associated to that program - any ideas on how to directly save the .jpg as a .jpg ??? - If I try to force it to save by adding .jpg after the file name manually, Paint shop Pro won't then reconise it as a .jpg file ??

If a image only gives you the option to save as a bitmap, that is because it is a bmp not a jpeg. Every site i've been to that has jpeg pics will only save as jpeg, gifs only save as gifs, bmp as bmp.
Save the image and associate it to Paint shop pro, once open save it as what ever you want
