Saving 'My Pictures'

I am about to do a System Recovery for a friend's PC which has slowed to a crawl. The only things she wants to keep are in My Pictures.

There is no writer on the machine, but I can connect my laptop wirelessly. What's the easiest way to transfer them to my laptop?

save them to a pendrive...

"share" the pictures folder and providing your both using the same "workgroup" name with file sharing enabled, you can drag them across to your laptop.

Thanks, successfully copied pictures on my PC to my laptop - now I can confidently waltz in there and look as though I know what I'm doing.

Copying to a pendrive is another option, thanks MAT ALAN, I will mention. Ideally, I would like her to invest in an external hard drive. Then I can back-up her PC using my Norton Ghost.
