Saving message but not attached photos

  sajeev 00:50 10 Sep 09

I receive emails with text messages in the body of the email and with attachments, usually pictures.
After saving these pictures in MY Pictures, I would like to delete the pictures from the email but still save the email with its text message intact, in the Inbox Folder.
Is there a simple way to do this?
I use Outlook Express 6, Windows XP Home with SP 3.

After you have saved the pictures to your desired location....Simply select the text of the message..Choose copy, and then paste it into your Word processing software.

you can then delete the message.

Thanks CS.
However, I think you missed the last part of the message--"save the email with its text message intact, in the Inbox Folder"
Any further help most welcome.

You could try forwarding the message to yourself without the attachment and then save that email. If necessary you could alter the subject line of the forwarded email to reflect what you have done.
