I am making enquiries on behalf of my daughter.
She uses MS XP and uses MSN for her e-mails. She needs to save the e-mails in her inbox onto a CD.
Where are the e-mails saved to on the hard drive so that she can copy them? Thanks for any help.

I assume she is using Hotmail, if so I usually copy the email to the notepad and save in a folder from there. When the folder is chokka I transfer to floppy...a CD will hold huuuuge quantities of emails.

Thanks GANDALF, but where are the files kept, I know Outlook Express files are at :-C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{CEAD9800-F6AB-11D3-B556-EB1405D3AB22}\Microsoft\Outlook Express and are .dbx files but where would Hotmail be kept?

Can't she just drag and drop them from her inbox into a folder on the computer and then copy them to a cd? I just dragged and dropped one onto my desktop, so i can't see why it wouldn't work.

should have said her inbox in outlook express, not in hotmail istelf.

She has about 100 e-mails she want's to save, so drag and drop might take a while. Unfortunatly I run Win98se and am not familiar with XP. I tried files find *.dbx with no results, hence my reason for asking you folks.

Maybe a block move direct to cd if it's possible then. ( Don't know , because I've never tried it)

Cant she just set up her hotmail account up in outlook express?????? Then you can save them a lot easier.
