Ok so i dont want to save them all, just mine!!

Im buying a laptop & want to swap The Sims from my desktop to my laptop but i dont want to lose all of what i've already done.
So does anyone know if its possible to save The Sims to disk to be able to transfer from one to the other?

Just go to C drive, program files and find the Maxis file. Under The Sims, (depending on what expansion packs you have, you will have several user data files, one per neighbourhood eg user data 6 contains data for neighbourhood 6). The family data from each neighbourhood is in these files, just copy contents of these to disk, and then put them back in the corresponding files on your laptop.

The same would be applicable if you download skins or items from the net. You put these items under GAME DATA. If you are familiar with this, its the same principal.

Hope this helps.
