I'm trying to upload a scanned image (letter)but keep getting "invalid file"

I've scanned an image (letter) but unable to save it as a JPEG

When I click File > save as > file name > save as type: only Tagged image file format or MS document image format come up, I cannot "save as type" xxxx.jpeg

How do I get it to "save as type" xxxx.jpeg

A little more information would help.

What scanner are you using?

What program are you using?

If you are scanning the letter as a document you will not be able to save it as a JPG you will need to scan it as a picture.

You must have a choice in your scanner panel as to what you are scanning ie document/ picture/ whatever choose picture or whatever youyr scanner calls them
