sattelite pro shutting down

hi there
i have just got a toshiba sattelite sp6000 which seems to run fine but if the area next to the mouse buttons is touched even lightly it shuts off,sometimes it wont restart for about 10 mins.i have stripped it down and dont really see anything loose,but it still does it after the rebuid.any suggestions?

Could be a loose connection inside.
How old is the Laptop?

not sure how old it is to be honest,but i have stripprd it down and made sure any connections i could see are seated properly,have you anything connection wise in mind,there doesnt appear to be anything under that section of the panel other than a ribbon cable from the sound card and the underside of the mouse buttons
