Sata and Ssd Hard drive question.

My new computer has a 2TB Sata hard drive and a 256GB SSD. Currently everything is sitting on the SSD and the Sata is empty. Whenever I install anything it automatically puts it to the SSD.

To get optimum use of the drives where should I be putting things. I know that the OS is better on the SSD but not really sure about everything else. Does it really matter. It just seems daft having a 2TB drive sat empty.

As a general rule you want your operating system and programs to be on the SSD and your data (such as photos, documents, music and the like) on the SATA drive.

Thank you Quizman - is there a correct way to transfer the files from the SSD to the Sata - I normally use drag and drop to move files/folders around but I'm not sure if this is the correct to do it in this case ?
