I am thinking of buying an external hard disk to use with USB2 interface to connect to my older computer and an external sata interface to connect to my main machine.
I have found a number of such enclosures/discs which provide these two interfaces but I have a choice of SATA interface or E-SATA interface. I will need an inexpensive adapter plate to use E-SATA but already have an external plain SATA connector on my computer.
There is little to choose from in price and specs so I am wondering which connection ( E-SATA or the plain external SATA) is the most up to date and obviously a little more likely to be of use in the future.
Hope I have made myself clear but all I want to know is which do I buy with the future in mind...ESATA or SATA connection.

Thanks Rob
