I bought a 200gb internal HD to go with my IDE 20GB HD to use as storage, i did not realise that the 200 GB HD was a SATA, can i use these in conjunction with each other, if so what cables etc will i need

You can only use it internally if your motherboard supports SATA. The fact that your C: drive is only 20gb suggests that the computer is quite old so it may be a case of changing the drive for an IDE one or getting an external case that will take the SATA drive. Please post details of motherboard and operating system so that we can be of more help.
