Samsung Smart TV ~ Which Adobe Flash Player?

Hi I have a Samsung Smart TV, which when I try to play movies is either mega slow or they won't play at all! It's telling me I need to update the Flash Player. The problem is though, that Adobe have ceased supporting Smart TV's and Android. However, Adobe says...

Your System is 'Linux 32-bit Safari' and needs 'Adobe Flash Player 11.2.2002.273', this is the last supported flash player for Samsung. It then gives a list of 'Systems' it supports...

YUM for Linux (YUM)

.tar.gz for other Linux

.rpm for other Linux

APT for Ubuntu 10.044

My question is: Which one of these (if any) is for 'Safari'?

Graphicool: you posted this question on 27 October last year... :-) At that time, your problem was specifically to do with ITV Player, and I think you fixed it.

Now, you seem to be widening the net...

I think you're doomed to disappointment. I have a 40ES8000 Samsung Smart TV, and have researched the whole Flash issue extensively. The fact seems to be that, despite promises to the contrary, Samsunbg does not and will not support Flash for their Smart TVs.

Well, I wrote that and thought I'd Google it again...

This says they do support Flash, as of a certain firmware version. I need to check what version mine is.

However: my guess, as we concluded last time round, is that Samsung only supports Flash within its supported apps - like ITV Player. For other web-based content, it doesn't.

This seems to confirm that. It seems that they support some kind of Flash emulation, rather than Flash itself.

The comments here seem to support what I'm saying.

And I'm guessing that the Evolution Kit ain't gonna help either...
