How do you do simple % calculations with calculator keep getting syntax error in answer box

Easy - just do x divided by y, then multiply by 100 where

y = total amount
x = value you want to display as % of y

ie to find what 25/60 is as a %, you do 25 divided by 60 then multiply answer by 100

(or just use your head, ie 0.3 = 30% etc etc

how do you do simple % calculations with calculator using the % key. ie on a calculator 100 * 10% + =110 saves having to it long handed.
