Safely remove a belkin bluetooth dongle.

How do I disable my belkin bluetooth dongle?

When my card reader is attached it's a case of clicking in the system tray and choosing "safely remove hardware" then stopping the device.

I can't find the option for the bluetooth dongle. It's the 100m one

Very curious, please help.

I'm on XP.

heck! I just pull all my USB devices out - never had any problems with them yet; maybe I'm doing something seriousy wrong.

I think you are m8, it does harm devices doesn't it?

mco is right about the bluetooth. Unless you know it is transferring data, just pull it out.

The dongle will always send and receive every few seconds. But it will tell you when it is transferring data from another bluetooth device. It has to seek your permission to merge. The flashing is just the constant searching for another bluetooth device, within range.

All usb devices that write data to them, will display the " it is now save to remove usb device" icon in the sys tray. The bluetooth device does not need that notification.

Hope this helps.:-)
