HEy, my laptop supports S-video, and so does my sony TV. However when i connect the two using a standard s-video cable, no image is displayed.
I have sdisplay settings to show external screens.
I was wondering if it is todo with the TV, does it need to have some kind of special feature?

I had the same problem. I solved it by going into Display Properties - Settings and clicking on display 2. I then clicked the box "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" (the TV).

All I then did was drag my movie playing window onto the TV screen. Mine is PowerDVD, so I right-clicked in the playing area, clicked Full Screen and sat back to enjoy a truly dreadful movie :o)
