What is the difference between IDE and S ATA, i know S ATA is better but how is it better.

IDE goes up to 133 mbps (megabits per second) and SATA (currently) runs at 150 mbps but much higher speeds are planned.

As PCA said a couple of months ago not many appliations push the ATA 100 limit so theres not much to be gained from SATA.

I also understand thats the reason Seagate never developed any ATA 133 drives...
