After deleting a program, a 'Runtime Error' box pops up on starting the computer. How do i get rid of this?... Thanks, EOS.

Depends on the program you deleted and the operating sytem.

try the sytem file checker if XP

start

run

sfc /scannow

Or for win98

start

run

sfc

either way, you will need the OS CD.

Thanks Diodorus Siculus, did what you said, took 10 minutes using the OS CD, but the AutoDialer software I removed from Add/Remove programs ( to check for dailer viruses) still pops up on startup!

Check to see if there any mention of the program in the startup tab of the system configuration utility:

start

run

msconfig

Try to install the program again and then do an uninstall. After that run a registry cleaner.

Thanks Diodorus Siculus.

It was on the startup tab in system configuration. Does pop up now, much appreciated. Consider yourself an MBE.
