A question Please:
Before I waste my time trying this, does anyone know if Win XP will run with a spec of Pentium 2 667mh proc and 512mb of pc100 ram.

Many thanks for any help.

Yes - until recently a friend of mine was running XP on a 166 with 192mb ram.

Here's What You Need to Use Windows XP Home Edition

PC with 300 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233-MHz minimum required;* Intel Pentium/Celeron family, AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended

128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)

1.5 gigabyte (GB) of available hard disk space.*

Super VGA (800 × 600) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor

CD-ROM or DVD drive

Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Sorry - might have been a 266 - but way below the spec of your machine.

Thanks very much.
Hate to waste my time without some info.

I've run XP Pro on 64 Meg, slow as leo49 getting a round in, but it works.
