What do I need to run two displays (a screen and a projector) from the same VGA outlet either simultaneously or alternately?

Thanks

A Dual head graphics card is the best way

The same display on both - or two different displays?

If the same display, you can get monitor *splitters* example click here - but you must get good quaity to avoid severe ghosting.

Many graphics cards already come with a TV quality second output - either as composite video or s-vhs sockets.

Thanks diesse. Yes I'm looking for the same image on both (as when I'm using my laptop) but how do I tell if its "good quality" - what specs do I need to look for?
