I run Norton Anti Virus,Is there any benefit or problem if I also run Microsoft Security Essentials?

Yes you will get problems. It is recommended that you only have 1 anti-virus program

Software conflict for certain...

Having said that you can run 10+ antivirus progs on your PC as long as they are configured to do different thngs at different times...

Best get rid of Norton.

Get rid of Norton - cobblers. A couple of years ago I would have agreed, but not any more. it's small, fast and you never know it's there. And it does its job as good any of them - and much better than microsoft's effort.
