Run PowerPoint on opening?

I'm putting together some presentations in PowerPoint (using Office XP - but to be viewable in other versions).

I would like the presentation to open in 'presentation' view immediately and without going into the 'design' view - rather similar to the Auto_Run() command in Excel.

I cannot find a similar system for PowerPoint. Does one exist? I have tried experiments with 'Pack and Go' and PowerPoint Viewer - but neither of these gives an immediate presentation on double clicking the appropriate icon.

Out for the afternoon now, but will look as soon as I get in this evening.

TIA

Safe the file as a .pps (powerpoint show) file then when they double click the file it will open straight into the presentation.

Many thanks. Sorted.

Now why the heck didn't they say that where I could find it in the help pages!

And... if I had scrolled further down the 'save as file type' list, I'd have seen it myself!

Thanks again cherria
